The eave riser is a specially made metal flashing designed to be installed at the edges of your roof.  This flashing is used in place of cement mortar.  When cement was used at the eaves of tile roofs, a few problems would occur.  Over time the mortar would break down, and small rodents and birds would nest in these areas causing damage to the roof.  The use of cement mortar would also prohibit any moisture that was trapped beneath the tile from escaping the roof. 
     To prevent these problems from occurring, we use metal eave risers.  The eave riser is specifically designed for your type of tile so there will be no gap between the tile and eave riser.  The eave riser is manufactured with pre-punched holes that will allow moisture to escape the roof and will also prevent rodents and birds from burrowing their way into your home.  Eave riser comes in brown and white and will be installed to match your drip edge.
