Who is Ken kelly?

Born in Naples, Florida, Ken is a traveler, businessman, and humanitarian. Compassionately raised by two loving parents, Ken’s ability to search out fairness with a strong sense of organization and always looking for the potential good in any situation are his strengths.

Continuing the tradition in 1993 by taking over the family’s roofing business provided a venue for creative implementation of successful ideas. In 2004 and 2005 the Kelly Roofing family responded to their community’s needs during tough hurricane disaster times. In 2008 Energy Saving Solutions, a consulting and educational firm was created with the goal to help others understand the true meaning of “Going Green”.

As an industry leader, Kelly Roofing is currently ranked as one of America’s TOP 100 Roofing Contractors, a position they have held since 2003. An industry spokesman, contributing author and circuit speaker, Ken enjoys sharing and helping other business professionals in all sectors. As an Instrument rated Airplane and Helicopter pilot, Ken’s passion for life and dedication to excellence is exemplified through the rigors of aviation. Currently Southwest Florida’s Wing Commander of Angel Flight Southeast, Ken helps fly and coordinate missions for those in medical need including transplant, cancer and military veteran patients. Ken donates time to his community by sitting on various boards and commissions such as the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee, Florida State Housing Authority and Collier County Code Enforcement Board. Hope Contained, a non-profit Ken helped form, is dedicated to helping the poorest of poor throughout the world by recycling and converting steel shipping containers into homes, creating villages and designing micro-farms in developing nations.

Ken is a single parent to Austin, but earns the title “Father” by passing on traits learned and further developed. The two are committed travel and volunteer partners, always on the prowl for new achievements. Ken lives his life to serve others through the implementation of “Kaizen”, the Japanese word for a life-long commitment to constant learning and improvement.

Kelly Roofing Family

Born into the roofing business in Southwest Florida, Ken knows what it means to install a top quality roof system. This knowledge is the backbone of Kelly Roofing, giving the company a clear goal to provide the very best roofing service. Ken is a member of the Florida Roofing and Sheet Metal Association, the National Roofing Contractor's Association, and a key member of contractor advisory panels for GAF, Duro-Last, Polyglass and governmental committees including the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee and Code Enforcement Board. Ken is also a frequent contributor to local broadcasting stations for "Eye on the Industry" reporting segments designed to educate and protect the community from roofing related disasters and mistakes. On his free time Ken is Wing Leader & Chief Pilot for Angel Flight Southeast, an organization providing free air travel for those in medical need.
A roofing Journeyman from New York City, Joe Kelly Sr. relocated to Southwest Florida in 1972 where he began a roofing and painting company. In 1976, Joe became the only qualified roofer in Southwest Florida and devoted himself solely to the roofing industry. Many of the roofing companies owners in the area today got their start working with Joe Sr. As Quality Assurance Manager, we have put the experience where it counts. Joe Sr is also a Roofing Consultant and travels across the United States providing his expertise to help others.
Coming from a roofing family, Joe has always had the desire to help grow the family business. At an early age, Joe would ride around with his father and learn the intricacies of the roofing business. It is this background and knowledge that has given him the drive to succeed. Joe takes pride in his ability to educate and inform members of our community on the many facets of the roofing industry. Joe is highly active in testing new products and systems and has recently passed the 15,000th roofing project mark.

Coming to Kelly Roofing from Ohio, Jeremy has a family background in the roofing industry. As a Senior Project Manager Jeremy enjoys educating the community about the roofing process and hopes that he can continue to share his knowledge with the public. "Everyone here loves Jeremy. Growing up in Fort Myers John has witnessed his community grow, without losing its sense of tradition. That's what drives John to this day. Throughout his early years John excelled both academically and physically wining many awards for his accomplishments like School Academic Scholar & Hockey State Champion. He loves this area and being outdoors. That's why John decided to complete his communications degree right here at Florida Gulf Coast University. This way he can stay close to family, enjoy fishing and explore the ocean depths. "I think working with the Kelly Roofing family is awesome! I get to do what I enjoy and I love how happy our customers are. I have met so many wonderful people and traveled all over the country learning cutting edge technologies about the roofing industry. Joe Kelly Sr. moved to Naples in 1972 to start a family business. As a Journeyman Roofer from the City of New York, his expertise set an industry standard of excellence. In 2000, the business became a second-generation company by passing to our current President, Ken Kelly. His innovation and use of technology has accelerated our family's passion for change.
