What maintenance do I need to do on my new skylight?
Very little.
- Your VELUX skylight is designed for many years of enjoyment and should last as long as your vertical windows, or even longer.
- If your VELUX skylight has a wooden frame, please make sure it is painted or finished the same way as the other wood products in your home.
How do I clean my Skylight?

Can I purchase shades or blinds for the skylights in my home?
Absolutely.
- VELUX skylights bring in more light than your vertical windows. Usually you’ll want this extra light. Sometimes, however, you may want to control the light. We manufacture a wide variety of shades and blinds to fit perfectly in your VELUX skylight.
