Kelly Roofing combines the two best tile installation methods to create a Hybrid "Code-Plus" tile roof. Proven in both Hurricanes Charley and Wilma, we did not have a tile roof failure on our customer’s roofs.

We install the best of two systems. Rather than just installing a screw in each tile, which is one approved installation method, or foam adhesive, which is another approved installation method, we combine the best of both systems by using screw and adhesive. Each tile gets 1 screw, except the first row of tile (they get 2) and every tile is also adhered to the previous by a line of Tile Bond adhesive to glue the leading wind edge down to prevent the "domino effect" during high wind events. This is our Hybrid Roof Tile Installation.

Simpson Strong‑Tie® Quik Drive offers a full line of stainless-steel collated screws for decks, docks and roofing. Stainless-steel fasteners offer additional corrosion resistance for use in environments and materials where corrosion is a concern. Stainless‑steel fasteners have been proven to last longer and offer the most permanent fastening solution in many applications. The PROCCS and PRORF auto-feed systems quickly and easily drive a variety of collated stainless-steel fasteners, increasing fastening performance and reducing labor costs.

Regular tile screws are hot dipped in zinc coating. As that screw is driven through the concrete tile and into the roof deck, the coating is scrapped off, exposing the core steel of the screw. Stainless steel will not rust, eliminating the element of the fastener rusting and weakening your tile roofing system. This provides the very best protection.

TILE BOND is a portable one-component polyurethane foam roof tile adhesive for attaching concrete and clay roof tiles. It reduces installation time and labor costs compared to traditional attachment methods such as screws, mortar, wire ties and clips. TILE BOND minimal-expanding adhesive also provides greater attachment strength while minimizing nail penetrations and reducing roof weight loads. With its easy-to-use dispensing equipment, TILE BOND™ can be quickly and efficiently dispensed in a highly consistent manner, eliminating the need for expensive equipment. Packaged in a self-contained, disposable canister, TILE BOND adhesive is consistently dispensed, eliminating problematic ratio and calibration issues typical in two component systems.

TILE BOND Roof Tile Adhesive is designed for use with low/ flat, medium, high and two-piece barrel profiles of roof tile in new, reroof and specialty applications when applied to a pre-approved underlayment. It is ideal for all new, reroof and specialty applications, including hip and ridge, rake and valley, and field and eave installations. TILE BOND Roof Tile Adhesive is Metro-Dade approved and hurricane-proven. TILE BOND is approved for use in applications where 140 mph winds uplift resistance is required.
