Dont Get Shortchanged by Your insurance Company Kelly Roofing

After a strong storm or hurricane has left you with roof damage, the following days and weeks are filled with insurance claims and paperwork.

We understand it can be a daunting, time-consuming task to gather work bids on your roof’s storm damage from local roofing contractors and your insurance agency.

Customers may request estimates from multiple roofing contractors so they can understand all possible options for repairing or replacing their roof – but don’t be fooled by your insurance company.

Kelly Roofing recently completed a roof repair on our home in Grandezza. We were thoroughly satisfied with the service we received from the estimate to the time-frame for repair to the completion of the job. The workers were prompt, courteous, & cleaned up the work-site to our satisfaction. We have already recommended them to a neighbor, & will do so to our other neighbors. Excellent job!!!

It was a pleasure to meet Mr.Justin Mottola , He was very professional and knowledgeable. Explained many things to me. He even went up to the attic to check for leaks. I really appreciate his service and it reflects well on your company Kelly Roofing. Good initial impression. Look forward to doing a new roof with you as soon as possible. Thanks for your help and professionalism.

How to file an Insurance claim?

Within 24 hours of the incident, contact your insurance agent first to see what process your insurance carrier requires.  Then contact your insurance company’s claims department. Explain in detail what happened. The adjuster or claims manager will advise what steps come next.  Follow those steps.

What will insurance pay for?

Insurance is required to put things in order to “pre-event condition”.  You would be responsible to pay your deductible amount, which may be more than the total claim amount.  If this is the case, the insurance company would not need to pay for anything. You always have the right to contest their assessment and secure legal representation if you feel your insurance company is not being fair.

Will insurance pay for a new roof?

If more than 25% of the roof is damaged, if the roof materials have been discontinued or damaged exists under the roof insure would be required to pay for a new roof, minus your deductible.
