What is a Platinum Preferred Contractor?
Owens Corning is a leader in the industry as a manufacturer of roofing products. As such, they hand-pick a small selection of contractors throughout the country as their “Platinum Preferred Contractors.” This certification is a huge distinction as it is given to less than one percent of the roofing contractors throughout the industry. It’s not as simple as just being named an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor either – roofing companies have to earn it! The following are the criteria that we met before being certified by Owens Corning:
- We have operated under our name, Kelly Roofing, for at least three years.
- We have not had to file for bankruptcy within the last 7 years.
- We have no less than one million dollars in general liability insurance coverage.
- We have had our credit rated by Dun & Bradstreet.
- We are in good standing with the Better Business Bureau.
- We have all of the insurance and licenses that are required by Fort Myers as well as the state of Florida.
These are strict standards that Owens Corning requires contractors to meet in order to certify them as Platinum Preferred Contractors.
