Our family story, since 1972
Joe Kelly Sr., a journeyman roofer from New York City, moved to South Florida in 1972 to start a family roofing business. Kelly Roofing has been at work on Southwest Florida roofs ever since. Ken Kelly became President in 1994, and he leads the company today as owner and President. Over the years, our crews have completed more than 60,000 projects. How to check our license (or any roofer’s)
- Go to MyFloridaLicense.com, the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation’s (DBPR) license lookup.
- Search by license number CCC1325948, or search by name.
- Check that the status says Current, Active and that the name and address match the company you’re talking with.
- Do the same for any contractor you’re thinking of hiring. A Florida “certified” roofing license (it starts with CCC) is issued by the state and is valid statewide.
Ask for a certificate of insurance

Warranties, in plain words
Every roof we install is covered by manufacturer and workmanship warranties, and every repair we make is warrantied too, which many roofers don’t do. Here’s how it works.
Kelly’s workmanship warranty
- Our Limited Workmanship Warranty is part of your contract, and it is signed by you and by Kelly. Re-roof warranties run from 10 years to lifetime, depending on the roof system, and the term for your roof is written on your warranty.
- It covers leaks caused by our workmanship in applying roofing and flashing materials.
- As written, the warranty can’t be transferred to a new owner. Like any warranty, it has exclusions, for example storm damage beyond the roof’s design wind speed, work done later by others, and a lack of maintenance. Please read the full terms on our sample warranty document.
- If you notice a problem, tell us in writing within three days, as the warranty requires.
Manufacturer warranties
Roofing materials also carry their own manufacturer warranties, and those vary by product and system. Your proposal will name the system and the manufacturer warranty that applies.
Roofiversary: regular inspections for your roof
Roofiversary is our every-other-year inspection program, and it is open to roofs Kelly didn’t install, subject to the program terms. Roof maintenance and cleaning are separate, paid services.
How to make a warranty claim
Fill out our Roof Warranty Claim form, or call us. We’ll inspect the area. If the problem is covered, we repair it at no cost to you. If it isn’t covered, a service fee applies, as stated on the claim form, and we’ll explain what we found before any other work.
How we work: honest and no pressure
Most people call a roofer because something worries them. Our job is to give you clear facts and real options, and then let you decide.
- You call or request an estimate. Call (239) 435-0014 or use our online estimate tool.
- We inspect inside and outside. When the attic is reachable, we look at it as well as the roof, because that’s where many problems show up first. We photograph what we find.
- You get a written proposal. It explains what we found, what we recommend, and the options. If a repair is the right answer, we’ll say so.
- One project manager stays with you. From the first visit to the final inspection, one dedicated project manager keeps you updated and answers your questions.
- We handle permits and inspections. For permitted work, we pull the permit, post it at the job, and schedule the required inspections.
- We finish and stay in touch. You get your warranty paperwork, and through Roofiversary we can keep checking your roof for years to come.
What we will never do
- Offer coupons, gifts, rebates, gift cards or deductible waivers to get an inspection or an insurance claim. Florida law (section 489.147, Florida Statutes) bars contractors from offering them, and it isn’t how we work anyway.
- Interpret your insurance policy or adjust your claim. That’s for your insurer, your agent, or a licensed public adjuster. We document the roof and give you an honest, itemized estimate.
- Push you with “today only” pricing or scare tactics.
- Use more than one phone number. Our only number is (239) 435-0014.
Where we work: Lee and Collier counties only
We take care of existing homes and buildings throughout Collier County, including Naples, Marco Island, Golden Gate and Ave Maria, and Lee County, including Bonita Springs, Estero, Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel, Captiva, Pine Island, Lehigh Acres and North Fort Myers. We also serve the boat-access islands, such as North Captiva, Useppa and Cabbage Key. Staying close to home means our crews know local permitting and the way our coastal weather wears on roofs. We work in Lee and Collier counties only.
We repair, maintain and replace roofs on existing buildings. We don’t do new construction.

No to both. We work only in Lee and Collier counties, and we repair, maintain and replace roofs on existing homes and buildings. We don’t do new construction.
How do I check any roofer before I hire them?
